It is obvious that the high strength steels S460ML and S690QL show significantly higher Charpy-V values at the testing temperatures than given in the standard (27J at- 50 ºC and 30J at -40 ºC respectively). Even at room temperature the toughness behaviour is better than for conventional S355J2. These high toughness values also result in good welding properties .
